Teacher
The art room serves a unique role in education. For some, it is a place to slow down and reconnect with the self. For others, it is a hub of energy, movement, and spontaneous activity. Regardless of background or ability, my classroom is a space where every student is supported and encouraged to explore their ideas creativity.
I place a strong emphasis on process over perfection by prioritising tactile engagement, playful experimentation, and the freedom to get messy. I believe that hands-on, immersive making is essential for students to develop curiosity and skill.
Art is so more than just making nice things - it is about questioning, problem-solving, and learning to engage meaningfully with others. It is a language of communication and connection - one that has shaped history and continues to define our culture. My goal as an art teacher is to equip students with the tools, mindset, and the courage to add their own voices to that ever-evolving conversation.
